10 Things You Can Do On Valentine’s Day If You Are Single
Are you a single guy feeling just a little bit sorry for yourself for not having a valentine on 14th Feb? Well, worry not. We @TheUnvisited understand you, love you and we’ve got you covered. Keeping our ‘single’ readers in mind, we’ve put together a list of things you can do to make this valentine’s day special for yourself. After all, why should couples have all the fun, right?
1. Go for a long bike/scooter ride
Your bike/scooter is your best friend on a lonely day and a road trip along a quiet road will make you feel better instantly. The breeze, the fresh air, the buzz of the engine! You’re gonna love the day.
2. Spend the day with your family
Let’s be honest, when was the last time you planned and spent the whole day with your parents and siblings? They are the first ones to have loved you in your life. This valentine’s day, plan a day with your parents and surprise them. Show them how much you love them and how much they mean to you.
3. Arrange a party only for your single friends
Here is a fun idea. Organise a party exclusively for your single friends. The theme could be “Happy to be single” or better still “Anti-Valentines Party”. Trust me, you might actually end up having more fun than many of the couples out there!
4. Go to an orphanage and distribute chocolates/give gifts
This valentine’s day, shower your love on the ones who need it the most. Go to an orphanage and take small gifts, food and books for those less fortunate kids and spend some time with them. You will be like an angel to them and the smiles that you will bring to their faces will make it the best valentines day ever.
5. Watch every fu*%@ng episodes of your favorite TV series
Frankly, this is one of the simplest and sweetest way for a single person to spend valentine’s day. Grab a large tub of popcorn, plonk yourself on your favorite couch and watch all the episodes of your favorite series. Not a bad way to spend a day, eh?
6. Work out twice
I know, I know, this one is a no-brainer but hey, its better than sulking at home! Working out will help you sleep better and boost your overall mood. And it will keep you busy in a positive way. And who knows, after getting your body in a better shape, you may get a valentine for next year (*winks*).
7. Explore a new place
This is your chance to finally go and check out that pizza joint you always wanted to try. Or to go to that play arena for go-karting or paintball or laser tag. There are so many places in our city that remain unexplored by us. This v-day, why not tick one off and shorten that list?
8. Read a best-selling novel/Watch a imdb top rated movie
A no-brainer again, but remember that warm fuzzy feeling you get whenever you watch a good movie or read a good novel? That’s better than that sad, lonely feeling you otherwise have, right? It will keep you in high spirits for the rest of the day.
9. Propose to your crush, finally!
DO IT! Just DO IT! Yesterday you said tomorrow, so, OK I’ll stop the Shia LaBeouf stuff now but seriously people!! How long will you torment yourself like this? Gather some courage and just ask your crush out (if they too are single) and express your feelings! Get it over with. What’s the worst that could happen? You get rejected and end up single anyway? Well at-least you would have tried!! It is any day better than waiting endlessly. And you just might get lucky!
10. Gift/pamper yourself
Your first love should be-YOU! That’s right. If you can’t love yourself, what’s the use of a hundred people loving you? Here is a revolutionary idea “Be Your Own Valentine!”. Gift yourself that guitar you always wanted, have lunch at your most favorite place and get a makeover; spoil and pamper yourself!
